Set up SuperMirror.
Start with a cable. Your Mac guides the connection and installs SuperMirror on your tablet.
Apple silicon · macOS 14 or later
Android 7 or later, 64-bit ARM. Using Linux?
1. Open SuperMirror on your Mac
Download SuperMirror. Open SuperMirror.dmg, drag SuperMirror to Applications, then open the app.
Use the SuperMirror icon in your Mac’s menu bar to open its controls.
2. Get your tablet ready
SuperMirror needs USB debugging on your tablet. Pick the brand to see where it is.
On a Samsung Galaxy tablet
- Open Settings → About tablet → Software information.
- Tap Build number 7 times. Enter your PIN if the tablet asks.
- Go back to Settings → Developer options. Turn on USB debugging.
3. Connect and allow your Mac
Connect the tablet to your Mac with a USB-C data cable. Keep the tablet unlocked.
On your tablet, select Always allow from this computer for your own Mac, then tap Allow.
SuperMirror installs its tablet app. Follow any installation prompt on the tablet. No separate connection software is needed on your Mac.
If no prompt appears, check Allow on your tablet and your data cable.
4. Start your picture
Give SuperMirror Screen Recording permission so it can show your Mac’s picture.
In SuperMirror, choose your tablet and display, then click Start. Keep the cable connected while SuperMirror prepares the tablet.
When your Mac’s picture appears on the tablet, the connection is ready. Click Stop to stop mirroring.
To control your Mac by touch, enable Accessibility for SuperMirror. Viewing still works without tablet control.
Next time
Connect your tablet and click Start. If the tablet asks again, tap Allow for your Mac.
WiFi works only on tablets that already allow network debugging, such as the Daylight DC-1. On those tablets, follow Connect over WiFi after one cable setup. Cable is faster and steadier.
